Cookie policy
Which cookies we use, for what purpose, and how you can change your choice at any time.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They allow the site to remember information between visits, for example a display preference or the fact that you selected a particular option in a form.
Alongside cookies, the site may use technologies that work in a similar way: browser local storage (localStorage) and technical identifiers. In this document we refer to all of them as cookies.
Legal basis
Cookies that are not strictly necessary for the site to work may only be installed with your consent, under Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent, because without them the site cannot function properly.
What we use on this site
The site uses a limited number of technical items. The list below describes what is stored, for what purpose and for how long:
| Item | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ds_consent_v1 | local storage (localStorage), not a cookie | stores your cookie choice, so the banner does not reappear on every page | until the site data is cleared from the browser |
| wordpress_test_cookie | session | checks whether the browser accepts cookies, on sign-in to the administration area | deleted when the browser is closed |
| wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | 14 days | keeps the session in the administration area; set only for authenticated users, not for visitors | 14 days |
| wp-settings-[id] | 1 year | stores display preferences in the administration area; set only for authenticated users | 1 year |
We do not use analytics, advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies. Tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads or Meta Pixel are not active on this site, and the modules that track the source of visits are not enabled.
Third-party providers
The fonts used to display the text are loaded from the Google Fonts service. When a page loads, the browser makes a technical request to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. This request does not install tracking cookies.
We do not include third-party hosted map, video playback or advertising modules that could install cookies without your consent.
Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary – keep the site and its forms working; they cannot be switched off from the banner.
- Functional – store display and language options; not currently in use.
- Statistics – would show how the pages are used; not currently in use.
- Marketing – would allow relevant advertising to be shown; not currently in use.
If we introduce analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy and the banner before activating them, and those cookies will only start after the corresponding category has been accepted.
How you give and how you change your consent
On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page with three options: Accept all, Necessary only and Preferences, where you can choose each category separately. The choice is stored in your browser and is not sent to any other server.
You can revisit your choice at any time using the button below: it deletes the stored choice and reopens the banner, so you can accept, refuse or select the categories again. The same result can be achieved by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
What happens if you refuse
Refusing cookies that are not strictly necessary does not block access to the site: you can read the pages, send the contact form and call us. Your choice is stored locally only, so that the banner is not shown again on every visit.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies in your browser settings may prevent forms from working or prevent sign-in to the administration area.
How to delete cookies from your browser
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings:
- Google Chrome – Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data;
- Mozilla Firefox – Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data;
- Microsoft Edge – Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
- Safari – Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Clearing the site data also resets your consent choice: the banner will be shown again on your next visit.
Changes and contact
We update this policy when the list of cookies or the tools used change. The date of the last update is shown at the start of the document. For questions about cookies you can write to us at contact@dotarisportive.ro.
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.
